Default i need help fast

Hey guys I got a problem. I have a 97 accord ex 4 door and the computer at best buy said my speakers up front are 5.25 but someone else told me that they are 6.5 in the front. I can't take my door off because my car is in the shop and I bought 5.25 speakers off of a friend. I am starting to think that I bought the wrong size..... Any help is appreciated!!!! thanks in advance!!

My 97 civic takes 5.25...i just took a Dremel and cut out the plastic so the magnet would fit. The 6.5s fit perfectly.:a:

my friends car took 6 1/2, but we put some 5.25" components in. All you have to do is buy a frame (i cant think of the actual name right now..baffle maybe?) but anyways its just a big piece of plastic with a 5.25 hole in the middle and you just pop that right in the 6 1/2 hole. It's not that big of a problem to fix.

Rule #1: Never trust Best Buy to audio work.
Rule #2: Enjoy results.

hey acurafanatic, trust me I know what you mean!!! I'm sad to say that I work at one :-). I did my head unit myself and I plan on doing my whole install by myself. The only thing I am worried about is when I have to do my alarm....... No matter what I will never take it to my store especially with the ass clowns they put back there! And they are supposed to be professionally trained..what a joke I'm sad to say!!
