Audio, Security, & Automotive LightingTroubleshoot wiring problems and get equipment suggestions all in one place. Now expanded to include Automotive Lighting
i have my whole system installed exceped for the power wire. big deal. i just need to know where to drill the hole in the fire wall. i can't find a good spot. any suggestions?
There should already be a hole in which wires from the enginebay are running into the cabin. You can cut a slit in the rubber groumet and put your power wire through there.
I'm having the same issue as civicEX442. I have a 99 Civic Si, and need to run a 4 gauge power wire.... but I have NO idea where in the firewall I can go through. Once I get it through the firewall, I'll be fine. If anyone knows of a good place to put a hole in the firewall, please let me know. I would ask about existing grommets... but I didn't think there would be one big enough for 4 gauge wire...
there is a rubber plug that is on the passengers side near the battery that you can get to from the inside. i'll take a pic on my friends 99 si and post it on here
