If it turns out that the deck just crapped out (not a fuse or wiring issue) I would recommend that you get one where the face doesn't flip down. The extra display and control space is nice but they're bound to be more failure prone. I just got an Alpine CDA9847 from Crutchfield, standard face, for under $200. (It can be found cheaper elsewhere if you don't care about the free installation goodies.) Looks good in the Accord and the sound quality is top notch! The only thing it lacks vs. its more expensive bretheren (up to a point) is the flip-down face.

You can see that a fuse is blown by looking at it. The piece of metal that goes from one end to the other is broken if it is blown.
Mp3 deck? Pioneer or Alpine's lower line is pretty decent and afforable.

you can pull a fuse out and do what WiLL wrote to see if it's blown. testing with a battery charger is clasic way on the black market to make sure you don't get rip off. all you do is hook the yellow and red wires to the + clamp of the charger and the black wire to the - clamp of the charger, and 1 speaker up to any of the speaker wires. you then slap in a cd and make sure every thing works
