Default Increase OEM keyless remote signal

Is there anyway to make the remotes work at farther distances?

i have the stock security system for the 98 accord EX and it seems like the remote only works at most around 30 feet, even with a new battery.

This might seem odd but I was once told that by holding the keyless remote underneath your chin and pointing it toward your head when pressing the buttons, you can unlock/lock your car from a greater distance. I've tried it before and aside from looking ridiculous while doing it, I found it actually worked. I'd say it got me an extra 10-20 feet. Obviously not a permanent solution but hey, what the hell, it's free.

It does work. I think it's something like the signal transmits out of your head, and since your head's so much bigger, it transmits farther. I can't remember exactly... I do remember seeing it on Daily Planet. It'll work with any kind of remote like that.

With some you can extend the antenna. But that only works with some frequencies. I have the same prob with my remote fog lights. They barely work when I'm inside my car.
