after a new alarm installed, was ur factory remote disabled? it's weired that mine still works and the siren sounds as well. I was freaked out by the factory siren when i used the factory remote to lock the car and used the new remote to unlock then suddenly the siren went off. is this typical?

 

usually when you have a factory alarm, and you install (or have installed) an aftermarket alarm... the factory alarm will either be disabled (un-plugged) or some aftermarket alarms have a "disable output" to disarm the stock alarm when you disarm the aftermarket one...

if thats confusing, sorry... I dunno how else to word it really.
