For an amp, you can also use a 1-ohm mono amp. Check out this one... Elemental Designs Nine.1. It's 1200Wx1 at 1-ohm, so you'll need to be a bit conservative on the gains, but it'll offer you some nice headroom if you upgrade in the future. There's a group buy on it right now, so it's only $300 shipped. The GB ends this Wednesday.

Dang...I want the nine.2 and nine.4 so bad. If you are considering this amp, please dont go with the Audiobanhs. eD also make some very nice affordable subs. In the right enclosures, they POUND.

For sure. ED makes some nice stuff. I was going to get ED stuff before I finally caved in and forked out the money for Diamond Audio.

I've never had respect for audiobahn. I've always seen them as another jenson or sony. decent for the price, but you get what you pay for.

JL audio subs arn't bad, but the good ones cost a helluvalot of dough. w6's and w7's are insainly expensive. but grab a hold of one and you'll understand why they cost so much.

personally, I've delt with Kicker (4 sets), JL Audio (2 sets), MTX, Pioneer, and a bunch of other crap. Recently, I picked up a set of Alpine type-E 12's, and put them in a sealed box. Powered them with a 500w (peak) amp, and they sound golden
