Default broken amps

i have a few broken amps at home, some still look brand new. my question is, is it easy to fix an amp, and how do you find the problem(s)? and why do my newer amps seem to fuck up easy. I have a older ppi amp and its industructable unlike any sony, kenwood or alpine amp i have bought.

Maybe you're not using them right...

I don't hear often of amps going dead on normal use unless they are defective from the get-go...
