Quick question, does anyone know whether this is a good amp. Let me know the pros & cons. It'll be running 1 12" Infinity 1230 sub. The amp is a Audiobahn #adbay002t.

I love the memphis line up on amps! Rockford has a nice 900watt peak digital mono amp that sound VERY nice in my opinion.

No, I was in Circuit City looking at amps. I was also looking at Infinity & Mtx amps. How much does the other amps cost Vtecnoobnc you mentioned. I didn't see those in Circuit City or Best Buy.

How much are you looking to spend and what's the voice coil configuration of your sub? That'll help narrow down a better amp for you.

Its funny because Audiobahn amps are pretty good.
I dont know why people hate on those amps.

The chrome finish on it makes it look sexxyyy too.
I have a Sony D500x amp that i've used for about 2 months.
Im building a amp rack and went ahead and bought ALL Audiobahn AMps

Audiobahn A4004T
Audiobahn A8000T

I've tested the amps in my car and the clarity is superb!.
Sounds much better than my sony amps.
Im using a 12' solo baric which the audiobahn amp could play even lower notes with this sub.

I personally like Audiobahn.
Its better to hear opinions based on what people have used and not on what they've heard.

rockford - they are good..but more watts = more money to pay out.
memphis amps - They are expensive. I've had the ST1000d pushing 2 12' solo barics and the amp overheated. ( something wrong with the amp internally.) Repaired it and sold it, cause I got tired of banging it around just so it would play.
jl - Too big and expensive.

That's good to hear because I'm not trying to pay alot of money . I'm not trying to pay no more than $200-225. I have mortgage etc & married so don't have that type of $$$ like when I was younger. I do like how the Audiobahn amp look & sound the guy played when I was at Circuit City. It also had a built in fan.My Kenwood #871 I had back in the day would shut off when it got too hot. Also it should sound good with the 12" Infinity sub.I was pushing a house speaker for a minute.I'm sure JL & the others sound good also but I'd rather spend that extra money I'm saving on performance & suspension parts. I think you can find a better amp for that amount of money. A lot of audio people dont like audiobahn because they have ripped off other companies desings in the the past.

I seem them as a bose. Product isnt top notch but the marketing is. They just like to make everything chrome and shiny to attract people with looks instead of real performance. Kinda like body kits on slow cars. I watched a brand new on take a crap at a shop that was hooked up correctly. Didnt exactly instill me with confidence in the brand. Just my suggestion is something like

or
http://www.cardomain.com/item/KIC04KX2002

(just a few after a quick search on that site)
Im guessing your sub is 4 ohms. Also im not sure if you want a mono amp just for the subs or a 2 channel that could be used for main speakers in the future if you plan to use it like that.
