trunk light not working, gotta be something simple!!
i have a 98 integra 4-door gsr and the trunk light does not work. i checked the fuses and they are fine. i took the little plastic thing that holds the light to be checked to see if the transistor or whatever was blown but it was fine also. of course i replaced the bulb and still no frikkin dice. the only thing left would be the wiring or something in the trunk latch is not triggering to turn it on. any help on how i would go about getting this light to work again!?!? thanks for anyones help!

DMM? not too sure what that is. i tested the transistior on the plastic thing and it was fine. the light lit up when we put a different power source to it, but when i put it back in my car nothing happens.
DMM = voltage and current and continuity measuring tool, would tell you if the sockety got power, and whether the high or low side of it was dissconected from battery terminal.
hooking the bulb up to another power source basically gave you same info though, no votlage at source probably a blown fuse or ****ed up connection?

Eeehhhh, I hope you get it to work. It sucks to have to take apart your car for a small problem like this. Try jumping your button while your at it too. If you get to the other side of it, touch a coin to the terminals and see what happens. You most likely have ground though. The entire chassis of the car is ground, therefore referred to as the "common ground" (cause every part of your car uses the same ground).
