Default Remote Start on M/T

Ok guys, I am having an Autopage RS850 alarm installed this weekend by a local guy. I want to wire up some sort of neutral safety switch so that way it will detect when the car is in neutral or not. Has ANYONE done this, or does anyone have any ideas? I don't wanna wire the remote start up without this... way too much risk without one, but I'd really like the remote start. Thanks!

I know some alarms have pins you can pull on the brain out depending on if its a manual or automatic transmission. Me thinks you should have asked the guy, or at least looked around a little bit more before buying it.

There prolly is a way to wire up a switch, but I googled two searches and then got lazy.

i have an aupoage alarm with remote start. put it this weekend. we could not figure out how to make it NOT start in gear. i really do not see it working. what we did was fool the clutch, but if u leave it in gear and remote start it better hope nobody i stsnading in front of ur car. As far as pins on alarm for manual/automatic remote starts > There are none for the simple reasn the remote start on a Manual is ILLEGAL.

Use The Turbo Timer When You Shut The Car Off It Will Stay Running And Then You Close The Door And Lock The Car With The Remote And It Will Shut Off.

Remote start is not illegal on a m/t. It is illegal for a road shop to install it.

Thanks a lot guys. I am thinking about wiring up a SPST switch, or a magnetic reed switch. Thoughts?
