how not to get my car stolen
i have a crx.
i have lots of money under the hood.
i have fiberglass doors with lexan windows and no door handles.
the doors are lambo style and open up vertically.
the door also opens up with a string!...uh...
so. what do i do to save my car from any bum with an elbow and a screw driver?
i am having power door locks and openers (poppers) installed, but what do i do about the "clipped in" lexan windows? how do i protect my car doors from just being literally "ripped off?"
i included pics so any thoughts from you guys on how to help protect my car, is much appreciated.
thank you
John

not to bash your car but if your goning to take the money to lighten your doors and windows with fiberglass and lexan why the hell would u put scissor doors on it

the doors save 124 lbs total! the lambo kit weighs about 17lbs, and makes your doors lift up into the air! with a fiberglass door, you dont want to bang the door into anything because it will break, not dent. by the doors opening up: the car looks better, and they protect my investment in the doors...now i need to protect the rest of the car...
...and back to the HELP ....

Some things you can do now are:
1) get a good alarm (check out the Matrix RSX 3.5) so you know when people break in
2) get LoJack so you can recover your car if they get away with it
3) get a good insurance policy to cover the damages
4) don't park in isolated bad areas
When you install things that draw attention, you better be prepared to get even unwanted attention.

I just bought a 97 LS today and had the same thoughts about protecting my
car. I was told to get a Multilock, at least i think thats what its called. Let
me try to explain. It is welded to the frame of your car next to the gear
shifter, and then when its time to lock it you put your car into 5th gear or
park (depends on tranny) then use a U bolt type thing that slips into a lock
and around your shifter on the part that is welded to the frame of the car.
Please tell me, is this a good idea? Thanks In Advance

Thanks for the reply, so i guess if you weld the bar to the frame so that the
car would be locked in the reverse gear, then that might help. And what
about that AutoLock thing from TV. The thing thats like a Club for your
brakes or clutch. This Thing , is this a good idea?
