I don't want to spend that much on it cuz I don't want to run anything more than 2 10" or something along those lines..

any advice would help, I guess an RCA cable included would be cool too.. although no idea what an RCA cable does..

The RCA cable just relays the L/R audio signal from the preamp outputs on the head unit to the inputs on the amp so the audio signal reaches the subs.

Scosche puts out a very good amp wiring kit that can be found at Wal-Mart, typically ~$20 for the 8-gauge kit and ~$30 for the 4-gauge kit. How many watts is your sub amp putting out? You probably only need the 8-gauge now but if you plan to upgrade (more power, second amp) in the future, you should go with the 4-gauge kit so it's less work to do later.

Wire is wire as long as it has proper shielding, which the Wal Mart kits do.

Xplod = junk. Your money would be better spent on anything but Sony.

(This does not include their older ES lines, which were actually quite good.) Their output is overrated ("1000W" in their marketing language is really just a 100W amp). Their current build quality is crap (poorly manufactured with cheap parts). They sound like crap (crank them up and you throw SQ out the door). And they are overpriced for what you get (for the same price, there are MANY other options that would run circles around Xplod).

It's true that you're not competing or anything and that you just want some bass to compliment your music, but do you really want to spend more for an inferior product?

Then could you give me some suggestions?

Around $60-100 for the Amp & no more than $250 for the Subwoffer & box

Here are just a few options in your price range...

Subwoofers:
15" Diamond Audio CM3, JL Audio 12W0, Alpine Type R, and Elemental Designs 13Kv.2.

Amps:
Soundstream Rubicon, JBL BP300.1, Rockford Fosgate P3001, and Alpine MRP-M350.

Throw in a $25 Wal-Mart wiring kit and either build your own box or get a cheapy pre-fab and you're way better off than any Xplod system.
