Default OEM Civic CD player not working...help!

Two weeks ago, I installed an OEM CD player in my GF's 98 Civic EX. Installation was a breeze, and it worked great for two weeks. Yesterday, she puts a CD in and it just sits there on track "0" and about a minute later spits the CD out. We tried about 6 different discs, and it spits them all out. The radio works, and the CD player will take the CD (so there's power to it) but it won't play them. The CD player was used out of a 97 or 98 Civic.

Is it toast, or is there a fix?

Cool. I'll try that.

Where do we get the theft code? My GF bought the car used?

Honda dealer should have an archive of theft codes of most model years.

what type of CDs did you use...bought/burned, blue/silver, etc? so figure out if it's media related or is it hardware. try cleaning the player too. maybe use a highlighter to color the edge of the CD?!?!?!
