Default Aux input question

Ok I want to use my MP3 player with the stock Honda CD head unit. I know I can buy a number of products to do this such as the PIE HON98-AUX Auxiliary Input Converter. But it is $50. I wanted to know if I have to buy a "Converter" or if I can just hardwire this thing myself. I can get the 14-pin connector I need. I just need to know what the pin out is and if I have to do anything else to make it work. any info would be a big help
Thanks

the pie adapter will tell the stock Hu that it has a cd player even tho it doesn't ,thus opening the port for you to get the aux in . also theres electronics inside so your going to have to buy the adapter ...
