Default Lojack Alarm Systems

How come Lojack isn't mentioned here more often as an alarm system? I always hear about Clifford alarms or Viper but I haven't really heard anyone say anything about Lojack. Is it any good? I really need some sort of an alarm for my new car because my old one got stolen and I am looking for something really reliable out there. Lojack has something where the police can track a signal that the Lojack sends from your car if you report it stolen. Are they the only company that has this feature?

I have friends that HAD Lojack installed on their cars, by the time they found the car, it was already parted to the chassis. The only benefit they got out of it was Lojack's garuntee of being paid $X amount if they can't find their car. Having this system would not necessarily mean that your car is safe.

^^ werd. By the time you find your car, its gonna be a shell.. Best bet is get one of those two way paging systems... add an extra horn in the trunk or somewhere besides the hood so that if they cut the hood horn, they will be caught off guard... by the time they find the your other horn, you should already be at your car already...

protect yourself by using an autolock to lock the brakes... and close your windows all the way.. and locking your trunk..

LoJack isn't really an alarm. It's more of a GPS Tracking device for your car.
