Default Double din or single din headunit

You take out your old headunit and you see a large double din opening.
You go to the store and all you see is single din headunits.
You have two options:

* You go to Audiocubes.com and get an amazingly awesome double din headunit.

* You buy a special kit to install a single din aftermarket headunit with an opening underneath where you can put a few cd's or a remote.

(I had to choose the last option because I still had a single din Pioneer headunit from my old car. The sound is OK but I don't like the looks of it.
What do you think?)
