Default Help a newb with bass

I've got a 94 Acura Integra GSR. In the front I have two Polk Audio 6 1/2" and in the rear I have a pair of Sony XPlod 6 1/2". My head unit is a JVC KD-SX780 (200W). Right now the system sounds good, but lacks BASS. My local GoodGuys is offering the following Sony XPlod bass package: 1100 watt mono car amp (XM D500X), 2 10" Sony XPlod subwoofers (XS-L1000B), and an enclosure (DHF?) for $199. Sounds like a good deal to me, but like I said I am a newb. I do not need show quality "megabass" or anything, I just want some good punch for my dancehall reggae, hip-hop, and whatnot. I guess what I am asking for is any opinion. Is this a bunch of crap even at $200? Will I run into problems when I go to get it installed? Do you think it is a good idea, but just make sure that I....? Any opinions on where to mount the amp etc. I really appreciate any help or advice or opinion that you may have. Thanks in advance.

Xplod is junk. Save up just a little bit more and get a better quality system.
Some examples...

Sub: Diamond Audio 12" CM3 (~$109), Kicker 12" Comp VR (~$99), Alpine 12" Type S ($109)
Amp: MTX Thunder 251D (~$129), Kicker 04KX200.2 (~135), Alpine MRP-M200 (~$139)
Walmart 4ga wiring kit ($25) or 8ga wiring kit ($20)
And for the enclosure, just build your own out of MDF or get a cheap prefab built to good specs.

Keep in mind that the amp and sub prices are off of onlinecarstereo.com and you could probably find cheaper prices on Ebay or locally. This would leave you with a way better system than any Xplod "system" from Good Guys. My buddy is a manager at Good Guys and when people want to buy Xplod, he'll suggest a ton of other brands before caving in and recommending the Xplods.

xplod is not the greatest i personally own 2 12" xplod subs and they were ok, but after awhile i wanted more. For u it sounds like your not a huge stereo person so i may recommend going with something cheaper and getting something that is only ok. If you are looking for something that is going to rumble your neighbours house then yes i agree with the other suggestions. As for amp mounting go with the usual and slap it on the back seat or even try on the box if u can. Good luck and keep in mind more money usally = better sound but if u really aren't looking for an amazing sound system and just something with a bit of kit i would go with that deal because it is very cheap and could give u what you need depending....
