its very simple... you'll need short pieces of wire (same gauge as power and ground for the amp) and some connectors. Pop out the power fuse at the battery. Mount the cap as close to the amp as possible to make the cable runs as short as possible. The power lead from the battery will go to the positive of the cap (instead of the amp). Then run a cable, as short as possible, from the same positive terminal to the positive connection on the amp. Then just a short ground wire (again, same gauge as the amp uses) and ground it to the same point on the car your amp is grounded to, NOT to the terminal on the amp.

BEFORE installing the fuse at the battery..... use a small test light or some other small light, connect each wire of the light to each one of the terminals of the fuse holder... the light will light up and gradually dim to nothing. Wait till the light goes out and then install the fuse. This "charges" the cap, if you dont do this you'll get a big spark when you install the fuse.

heres a visual. note that the ground for the cap is not using the same grounding point as the amp. in my experience, either way is fine.

 WiLL to the rescue!

That is pretty much the basic diagram to follow, if you have two amps, then it would be better to get a dist block after the cap, but not needed.

that should only apply if the two amps are both powering subs. since a farad cap is "designed" to give the amp extra juice when the bass hits.
