Default Lookie what I got! (day 1 sponsorship!)

Well the first delivery of my JBL stuff since I got my partial sponsorship came today... I'm pretty sure no one cares, but i'm excited so here they are...

Soon I'll get my subs and my amp for my highs, but for now I have to start doing some fiberglass and metal work to hold the 5.25" in the floor and mount the amp hanging in the trunk... I'll post some pics as it comes along... And by the way I'm new and I own a 99 Civic EX...

cool beans... welcome to the forum. I like JBLs amps... and those speakers look nice too... they're built like a tank. I havent heard any of their new stuff though.

What do you have to do to recieve the sponsorship?

Well, the guy I worked for at a car audio shop is part of team JBL... Mark Liggett is 2-time IASCA World Champ and he hooked me up... its just a partial sponsorship for now... Until I get my car completely built, then they are gonna review it then and either give me full sponsorship or nothing... they sound pretty nice from what ive heard, but I'm painting the amp right now to match the theme of my car... if you want some painted pics i can post them later today

Mark is a good guy to know - very successful IASCA competitor.

Are you building the car? If so, you had better read the rulebook - then read it again, and again and again!!!

There's so many little details in there.

What class are you going to compete in?

Apparently team JBL kicked some serious butt at SBN

Good luck....I'll hopefully be in Street Smart 1-600 (I think that's what you call it) this year. They've changed the classes so much I have no clue!
