I didn't know there was such a thing as a 'laser jammer'. A laser is a beam of light. How is one to 'jam' a beam of light?

Escort makes a laser jammer, although they call it a 'shifter'. It's real, it works 99% of the time, and it costs a lot of money. You'll never be shot with laser enough to compensate for the money ($300+) you'll spend. Take that money and get a header or something. . . Nuff said.

ya the escort shifter is the best one out there as of now....but it'll cost you around 300 bucks, and thats off of ebay...if you want to buy it from a more reliable source like sound domain, try about 400 big ones.

....or people could just not speed, and one wouldn't be needed.

What if you have neons, a really loud system, or you take off fast with some nos and dont know a cops around, its good to have some sort of security. And also you can be like, (YOU: Hey dude I just got this brand new rader with this jammer no cop can get me know./ YOUR FRIEND: Wow, thats tight, how much it cost?/ YOU: 300+/ YOUR FRIEND: Man your loaded/ YOU: yeah man its all about the bling bling) << Just kiddin! Naw, I dont thing the passport can work unless you got the 8500 or whatever it is. V one can't control it.

OT Funny Reply: I sure hope I never press the nawz button in first heh.

That's true the V1 can't control the Escort shifter, only the 8500 and the lower model (7500?) can control it. Although, I've heard of a hack that allows you to plug it into an even earlier version Escort, though. But owning an Escort is not a requirement to using their Shifter, it's merely a 'free' addition that your 8500 can control the shifter. But I have to say on a real note, that many of us are playing with the AC/Heat; radio; etc all the time, I THINK I can reach up and press my laser shifter's buttons if need be, I DON'T need an overpriced and crappy radar detector (i.e. the 8500) to control things for me.

And don't flame me for saying the 8500 sucks, go read Car and Drivers most recent 5 reviews, the V1 always wins, and at least 15-20 points ahead of the 8500.

still, nothing is going to help you if you are going more than 20 over. A cop can tell just by looking at cars that are going 55mph go by, and then looking at your car going 75mph. There's this thing called pacing.

I agree with you, but there are those of us who might be doing something -else- wrong in addition to possible speeding, we just like an early warning before we see blues (talking about radar, not laser.)
