Default cd player mount trouble

i recently put a cd player in my car
i had to buy a cd player mount kit to install it
the cd the player is just sitting in the mount not bolted down or nothing
when i take off fast it slides out some times
are there mounts out there that holds the player tighter for it does not slide out?

thanks

read the sticky - we can't read your mind - what cd player, what car?

Typically your head unit will come with a mounting cage. If you read the installation instructions for your player it will show you how to use the cage to properly attach the CD player...

if you have the cage, then you mount the cage first. Mount the dash kit first in the dash. Then slide the cage into the hole. Make sure it sits all the way back and is flush against the kit. Then use a flat bladed screwdriver to bend the tabs on the cage out so that the tabs wedge the cage against the kit. Do a few on each edge so that the cage is very strudy.

Then add your wiring and slide the CD player into the cage and voila! You are done.
