Default gauge lights quit working after HU install

i installed my HU from my previous car in to my 2000 accord. when i drove it that night the gauge lights for the spedometer and rpm's as well as the temperature controls for the air and heat dont light up anymore. there were 2 illumination wires on the harness, one for dimming....i hooked up what seemed to match the orange with whie to the orange with white on the HU...all the other wire colors matched up perfectly....thanks for the help....

Double check the harness, there should be only ONE wire for illumination... which head unit are you using?
