Ok, well i feel really stupid for asking this but oh well. Can i run a neon tube indoors off a 10v dc power supply?

i'm pretty sure all neons run off 12v. i don't think 10 would be enough.

Hmm, well i tried it and its working. Is it safe to use it on the dc power supply?

Most neons run off a cars battery which is 12-14 volts. You should be fine, it will just not be as bright.

yes, the neon wont work if you us ac power. they are either on or off, just like dc power. the bulb will have a longer life because it is not running as hot, but it wont be as bright.
