Default amp wiring kits

hey , i know that you get what you pay for, but would i be ok buying an amp wiring kit from like walmart. they have 350-1100watt ones for 25 bucks. my amps only 460 peak so i'm deffinitly in the limit, but i don't feel like buying shitty wires so my question is, Is there a big difference between "name brand" and no name amp wiring kits.
anyones that you guys have personal experience with?
thanks guys

Luke

You probally want a kit that has 4 gauge wire if the amp is puttin out 500 watts, but you could get away with 8 gauge if its under that. If you got a manual with your amp see what gauge it recommends and use that. The kits at walmart are okie. The power and ground wire is basically all the same for all kits(just different gauge sizes), i say they are okie because of the rca's, go with a name brand company for your rca's, something half decent.

The amp kit at Walmart is a Scoche brand. Power wire is all pretty much the same, so the Walmart kit should be more than enough for your 460 watt peak amp. As for the rca, if you'rejust using the amp for subs, then there's no need to get a better rca. If you are using the amp for mids and highs, then you may wanna spend $15-20 on something like Monster, Streetwires, or Stinger.

For my wiring I went with Rockford Fosgate. Competition series power kit and High Performance rca's. About $100 total. (Had I gone with the Competition rca's, they were around $100 themselves, I'm thinking, but maybe only like $80.) Anyway, I know it's expensive, and it might have been a waste, but I sure am happy with it.

 exactly what i was going to say.....I bought the kit from walmart, its pushin my rockford 851 power amp and alpine R 12's and i have no complaints, plenty of bump and no wire problems.... i bought the 4 gauge kit though....and as long as your running subs, don't worry about the rca's!

i have Street wires Zero Noise 6's all around...about 125/set. worth it

but for just subs, go to your local stereo shop and spend 20-30 on whatever they'll give ya....you'll probalby even get some w/ wiring kits.
