Default clock color

does anyone have any idea on how to change the color of the clock?? Or at least where to get different colored ones? I know it's a long shot but I want all my interior lighting red. Has anyone ever changed the color of their clock?

NO SPRAYPAINT, BLECK...

I'll take some new pics tonight, not only is it blue, it's now reversed, the numbers are white(or blue in the dark) and the background is black.

check out http://www.99accord.com I'm sure he'll set you up with an LED and resistor just for the clock for a good deal. I'm in the middle of re-doing my climate control to white with reverse numbers(strip off the polarizing film and put some new stuff on 180 degrees).

Also you can go to an electronics store, buy an LED, shave it off, find the right resistor and mount it to do the same, or you can take your bulb out, spray paint it, and not be able to see you clock other than a faint glow of the color your painted on.

http://www.igd4u.com on the left side, down about half way it says LED how-to, I put that together when I did my dash blue, I'll have some new pics when I finish the white though.

On the 4g the light for the clock is molded into the glass that protects the display. I looked at it for a few minutes then said I couldn't do it with out breaking something.

if it has a light bulb, there has to be a way to change the bulb, swapping that bulb with a 3mm LED should be cake. Otherwise whenever the clock light goes out, You'd have to buy and entire new clock assembly.

yeah the 4th gen one is very difficult. I ended up sawing the top glass piece off to get at the actual display. I found there were no LED's. The time is displayed some other way. I tried to slip a red transparent piece I got from an alarm clock directly over the display but when I went to test it out it stopped working. It's really complicated and Im not sure what it was that I did to make it stop working. Im debating on wether to try again with the new clock I buy. Im wondering if I can buy a different clock for another gen and fit it in the 4th gen housing. I dont know if that would work though and I dont know how to switch plugs. Any ideas???
