yeah the 4th gen one is very difficult. I ended up sawing the top glass piece off to get at the actual display. I found there were no LED's. The time is displayed some other way. I tried to slip a red transparent piece I got from an alarm clock directly over the display but when I went to test it out it stopped working. It's really complicated and Im not sure what it was that I did to make it stop working. Im debating on wether to try again with the new clock I buy. Im wondering if I can buy a different clock for another gen and fit it in the 4th gen housing. I dont know if that would work though and I dont know how to switch plugs. Any ideas???
