I just got a digital climate control unit for my 6th gen, the ones out of an EX, to replace my stock LX, but to my surprise once i removed the stock unit, and tried plugging in the digital unit, the connectors are totally different! i thought you can just swamp the damn units! has anyone done this, in other words can this be done or not? any ideas, i need to know asap please.

 

If your car was a 4cylinder and you are trying to install the digital unit from the V6 it won't work.

EX 4cylinders have same unit as LX 4cylinders
EX v6 and LXv6 have same digital unit.

Sounds like you are trying to install v6 unit in four cyl car, I 99.9% it won't work at all, sorry.

Trying to install a 2001+ unit into a 98-2000 car could also be an issue as some changes happened in both 2000units and in 01+ units.
