Default Sythetic Oil Question

I have 125K miles on a 94 EX...i treated it with safoam and switched to 10w-30 mobil syntetic blend a while back, no leaks, now i wanna switch to full sythetic 5w-30, i am worried about leaks and junk, so if it DOES leak, can i switch back once synthetic has been in my engine...AND do i need to flush my motor with synthetic for thw switch?

Thanks

at 125K i wouldn't bother. stick with the blend or a the special high mileage oil.

your engine doesn't know the diff between synthetic and natural oil. U can move back and forth if u wish. The reason some older cars leak with synthetic is that the better oil has a tendancy to clean out the engine. If the engine was bad and leaks were glogged up with crap than synth can clean those spots out and leak. I'm sure ur engine is in better shape than that so u shouldn't have problems. I would go with synth if u don't mind the extra cash.

I use 5w-30 mobil1

y u wana switch to 5w30?it will most likely leak and gears would slip u should never change ur oil back and forth stick to one thickness. you can switch to full syn 10w30 but it could creat problems...should always use a thicker oil on older cars...just not TOO thick..10w30 should be the highest. i use quaker or Mobil1
