Default Going to look at some accords this weekend

HI everyone, I've been reading HAN for 3 years or so now, and I was going to get a honda accord last feburary (hence the name when I finally registered) but I got an infiniti j30 instead, well the j30 is gone so now I'm finally going to get a accord, preferably a '94-'97 model, 4-door with AC and power everything, but definately a manual tranny. Is there anything I should look for in particular that might have gone bad on the car, and are there any differences between the year models, I remeber someone posted this awhile back, about differences in interior quality and said that a 95 is much better than a 94 and that a certain year might be better for the H22A swap???? I couldnt find the post tho so if anyone could find it and link it or please share your knowledge about the car I would appreciate it. Thanks!

there is a big difference between the [94-95] and [96-97]..check out the Accord gallery...I think some 94-95 were made in Japan, so there is good quality in 5th gen earlier models.

I have found no differences in quality between a US built Accord and one built in Japan, Its all in the head.

Well after looking at some that were mostly overpriced the search continues, my dad thinks I should settle for a civic, but I'm going to keep looking, One I looked at was in very good shape, its a 97 tho which is OBD 2 not that big a deal but still, more work to swap in a h22a, then I looked at some other 96's and some 94's that arnt in as good a shape that I would like.
Thanks for all the feedback, if anyone knows of a 94-97 accord with 5 spd for sale in so cal let me know!! thanx

I got my 97 accord se with leather moonroof auto windows doorlocks etc...I got the dealer from $10k to $7900. Know the bluebook, and see what the market is like for the car you want. Don't play the dealers game, make them play yours. Now is a good time to buy because statistically cars are staying on lots longer than normal, so they will more likely go down farthur to make a sale. And if you need a cosigner, come up with a price a few hundred below bluebook, at least, and stick to it. If they ask what about $x (assume x is $500 above your price), tell them you don't think your cosigner will do it. Just stick with your price and don't budge. And don't tell them you are going to school

If you would like a few more pointers lemme know, I got several more

Haha cool thanx for the tips, yeah luckly my dad is a very good bargainer when it comes to things like this and I'm pretty picky about how I spend my money so I'm not going to let some dealer talk me into a car I dont want, and my dad(who made the original loan for the J30 that I still have to use for this car) is making sure I dont get ripped off.
