How can u say that "shifting" the aut through the gears is faster. When I floor my moms mini-van it will shift at the redline right before fuelcutoff. Unless honda aut is different how can ur hand switching a bulcky lever at redline be faster than the aut doing it.

Get good brakes if u rase with aut.

I wonder why it takes so long on D3 to redline? and is this k, i was driving around 80mph and i accidently put it on Neutral lol so got red line so i switch it righ back to D4 and is all good i wonder if i did any damage to the trans?

D3 means it doesnt go past 3rd gear, just as 2 doesnt go past 2nd, 1 doesnt go past 1st, so if youre going 80 and drop it into D3 its going to be at pretty high RPMs

It shouldn't do damage to the tranny if it was an accident on a rare occasion, but it you always redline the car, that will stress your engine out for an early death.
