Light Turning on when i start up the car
Hey i just installed my Injen intake, which sounds great and all but when i turned on my engine there is this orange light that comes out that sorta looks like an engine lioght or something. I was wondering if that was normal / and if i shoiuld just ignore it. I need a quick response because if it poses as a problem i should remove it quickly. Gracias =)
reset the ecu, take off your ground wire for 30 seconds or so and reconect it, the ECU is messed up cuz you now have more air flowing into the engine then its used to, the cars computer thinks somthing is wrong with your intake
So there is nothing wrong with the car itself? Because after reading the owners manual i'm kinda shook. Also, is there any instructions on how to reset the ecu and stuff like that? Thanks man i appreciate it
If all you did is install the intake, and your not dumb, thats all it is, many people on this board have had this problem search and you will see. It just needs to be reset, if its somthing else it will come back after you reset it. to reset it just unplug the ground (black) side of the battery for 30 seconds or so and reconect it.
You can find other stuff if you search for 'resetting ecu' and ummm check engine light or somthing...

i say ... reset the ecu, if the light comes back on, get the code read at autozone. there might have something that went off by coincidence

what model accord do you own? removing the black terminal on the battery will NOT reset the ecu. there is a memory fuse you need to pull to properly reset it.

install the stock intake again to see if the light turns off.
if it stays on, go to the dealer with the stock intake installed and get the code checked. you're still under warrenty.
