Default F22 Buildup

Aight guys I have read all the posts and gathered some info. This what i'm thinkin about..... I have a 5th gen EX just passing 100k about 2 weeks ago. I've been thinking about the h22 swap but that just seems popular instead what's more fun and cost effecient right now. Already have and aem cai...wanna get headers, exhaust, ignition, wires,plugs....then what?
What else do i change in the internals? I know cams, cam gears....pistons?rods? what else? I think i'm leavin something out and what type of power do u guys think i would be making then?
AND WHY THE HELL DOESN'T GUDE HAVE PRICES ON THERE SITE!!!!????

Well bro, yeah, the H22 is the most popular option, but for good reason. Doing all the mods you talked about MIGHT put you on par w/a stock H22, but the money you'd spend will be as much, if not more, than just doing the swap, and you'd still have plenty more power to milk from the H22. There may be some F22's out there that can give some stock or lightly modified H22's a run for their money, but the amount of money spent to do that isn't worth it, unless your goal is to say ur F22 beat a H22. IMO, there's bigger fish to fry so I'd just save up for the H22 and chase the Marlin's instead of the rainbow trout:thumbup:

The h22 is more cost effective hp upgrade than a build up of your f22. If you wanna have fun with the f22 dont expect gains thatll knock your socks off unless you go turbo. As far as I know the GUDE cams for the f22 arent all that great. Theyve had bad reviews in the past and Id suggest looking at another brand of cams. But yeah if you wanna start a build up on your f22 go ahead and get the bolt ons out of the way so you can do internals. You wont need an aftermarket igniton unless your putting out at least 300 whp. The stock ignition will do you good for now.

Does anyone know where I can start looking to get internals for my F22?

go custom...JE piston, Arias come to mind.... pretty much any of the major companies will take you on for the right price....F22 means you need to go custom.

the connecting rods are interchangeable between the F22 and the H23, crower makes some. there are quite a few companies that make pistons (either high compression or low compression) i think AEM (not listed on their site) and Arias both have them already made for you nothing custom there. and webcam inc has a reground cam (although i haven't heard anything good or bad about it)

spend the money you would otherwise spend on an H22 building your F22 (since you've already got that motor), and the money you would spend on modding the H22 on a turbo or something else.
