I'd like to know too. I would like to run some 12 guage power wire to my trunk in my 02. I'd also like to know where the best place is to tap speaker level inputs. Or if there are Line levels or RCAs easily available

well this goes back to an old post of mine where i want to install neon indiglo tubes in the footwells. and I understand the general concept of how to install...i just need to know how to get power to them now. I've heard different things... radio, battery, underhood fuse (which i have no clue is), etc.

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...t=neon+indiglo

is it complicated to run wire from the battery to the footwell?

in general, the biggest b**** of the whole thing is getting through the firewall, particularly on honda-acura cars. It took 6 hours for me to run wire from under the hood to my trunk on my acura legend with some experienced help. probably 2 of that was absorbed with getting through the firewall. It sucks. But after that, its smooth sailing mostly. The latter half of the 6 hours includes running the RCAs to my trunk through the cabin.

Getting wire through the firewall can be real easy, if you just want it to go into the inside of the car...i just installed some driving lights so i had to run 2 wires through the firewall. I used a thin nail and stuffed it in the connectors then with the help of a friend, pushed it through the rubber area being carefull not to puncture other wires. It took like 5 minutes. But getting wires to the trunk is a whole nother story...big pain in the asshole

i wouldnt connect your neon things to your radio's power line in fear that you might get a weird sound coming through your system. just remember when you run a wire from your battery that you put a fuse in the line and that you dont run the wire over your engine block so it wont get too hot and melt.

As smakdown said, that's how you get the wires through the firewall to the interior of your car. It isn't that hard.

Honestly, the rear isn't very hard either. You take your wire, which is already around your fuse box area. You pull off your sideskirt cover panel and send the wires along there to the plastic part around the seats. From there, you can stuff the wires with a wire stripper under the panel. Put your hand on the bottom part of your seat and pull up hard. The plastic connectors of the seat will connect or disconnect by simple pulling/pushing. You can then put the wires under your seat and around where the fold down part pivots. There, it is velcroed and you just either lift that up, or if you need it the rest are all plastic grommets. It's really simple - it's a honda. Good luck.

oh yeah, and please, dont tap it into your radio. It's not a good idea for many reasons...
