Default Door Lock Whirring

95 Accord EX
When I hit lock from my alarm or inside of door, it locks. When I hit unlock, half of the time it won't lock and will make a spinning-motor, whirring sound. I have popped the inside panel and the sound is coming from the white/yellowish plastic box that is connected by a coat-hanger size metal pole. From the search I've done, i think it's the actuator. someone confirm this for me. thanks

I know exactly what sound you are talking about....

My front passenger door has been doing it for months now...but the lock would still work. Just recently I've noticed that when unlocking all the doors, that door sometimes doesn't unlock.....think we have the same problem.

You replace the door lock module...the buzzing sound will go away.

Yes, you need to replace your door lock actuator. You can either get it used at the local salvage yard or at ebay for less.
Good Luck!

Ohhhh F buying a new one, i opened up my actuator for that same problem and the only thing wrong with it was a ripped block of rubber. And its funny cause all u need to do is find something to absorb the shock from the motor in the actuator( in my case, i used a little slitther of an eraser and jammed it in there) . I know this sounds confusing but i can elaborate more if u want me to. just reply or PM me. HEY, its better than paying $90 for something u can fix ureself!
