personally i would tirerack to compare since they have info about the tires.
anyways living in cali i assume you don't need snow traction??
so the yoks you can leave out. i'm not a fan on nitto. the kumhos are good, but they lack grip. if you just want some decent tires to last awhile this is a good choice. i personally have the fm901s in the 205 55 15s and they stick really well, but they won't last as long as the kumhos.
you first need to decide what you want. all-season traction v. summer only and tire wear v. grip
btw $83 for fm901s is rip, tirerack has them for ~$74

well it rains a ton here during the winter (i'm in nor cal) and once or twice a season it might snow, depending on the year. i don't need snow traction. if i wanna go snowboarding i'll just borrow my dads truck and he can borrow my car. if it snows here one day, **** it i won't drive. with people here and the way they drive, it'd be better to stay off the road when it snows lol
so i just want something that'll stick but have decent treadwear
i think i might end up going with the dunlops because they'll stick good and they look sick as ****
how long do you think the estimated life of those tires are?
how many miles anyway

well its kind of a tossup between the dunlops and the yokohamas
the yokohamas are made better for wet traction allegedly than the dunlops, but i look at the ratings on the tires and the wet traction is the same (7.3 dunlops, 7.4 yoks)
the yoks have a 45k mile treadwear warranty, and the rating on the treadwear is 6.7, and the treadwear rating on the dunlops are 6.5
maybe they'll last say 40k?
if so, i'm getting the dunlops

you can't compare the fm901s v. avid v4s, since the people who are rating the v4s are comparing them to similar tires. fm901s avid v4s are not comparable since they are different class of tire. dunlop D60 A2s is a comparable tire to the avid v4.
i would also look into yokohama avs es 100s. they should provide a good balance between grip and treadwear. i would have gotten those, but fm901s stick better which with the h22 that's what i wanted and i bought them dirt cheap too, $71 each free mounting and balancing.
kumho's imo are overrated, they are good for people who just like to pimp ride and not drive hard.

i'll look into those other yoks
my car isn't fast or anything, f22b2 auto sedan, but we have some good twisties around here that i like to rip through
so its between these other yoks and the dunlops
thanks a ton for your help
appreciate it
