Once it's wetsanded and buffed, I can see that shit looking great. Especially when it gets lowered and gets those nice bronze rims on. Anyways, mad props on doing all that work yourself.

The silicon impregnates the finish and makes any sort of future painting a bitch. It'll really mess up a finish that isn't cured.

i went through that pain in the ass process. some of the dings i fixed look a lil irregular now that i look it at after its all painted. took me forever to cut, flex, bondo my buddyclub rear bumper to fit on flushly. i used ppg paint also w/ metallic pearl.

lining the walls or the area your painting your car in with plastic trash bags and wetting them really helps w/ dusts. learned that from my friend that does body work on the side and helped me paint my car.

a couple weeks after i had my car painted i was cruising and all the sudden the sunny skies turned gray and it started pouring. fawk...all the smoggy acid rain here in cali didnt help my clear coat. ironic the reason why i painted my car was because the clearcoat on the OEM paint got all fawked from being parked outside in cali rain and bright sun.

Yeah it has taken me that long. I told you guys I wanted a glass finish. I hit the bad spots with 1000 grit, then the entire car with 1500 grit, then did the entire car again with 2000 grit. Today I am buffing with fine abrasive buffing compound and after that I'll using polishing compound. The pic is after I went over with buffing compound.
