Need advice here...17" or 18"
Alright, I've been in the market for rims for a short while and been talking to some friends who've done it and all of you here. Yet i'm still not settled on the 17" or 18" debate. I've got my eyes on the Racing Hart C2 3-pieces or Evos (depends I guess on what diameter I decide too...)
SO...wut do you guys think? I'm hearing a lot, and from a good friend who had a 96 Accord V6...he had 18"s and says they are HEAVY and will make the car unbelievably sluggish. I know the F22B1 doesn't have much low end, but 18"s sound very appealing. Then again, 17"s are cheaper and you get less of a drag from weight. Also, which would be easier to sell later on? Any suggestions...opinions...experience? Sorry for the long post.

I don't think the drag weight difference between 17's and 18's will be noticable. If I can offer one piece of advice...Get quality made rims if you go 18". Even get forged rims if you can afford it.
You get what you pay for and if you get cheap rims you'll end up bending one and it sucks. I know from experience. Spend the extra $100 per wheel and get a quality wheel.

I don't know those rims to be honest sorry hope someone else can help. However, you don't need forged to get strong rims. All the BBS rims are Cast except the LM's and they are strong. I have a friend running BBS CH's in 19" and he nailed a few potholes and has no bends at all.
General rule of thumb i think is you get what you pay for. $300 per wheel and up should be pretty good quality. Others can help with specific brands.

you might want to look around and check out the quality of the roads where you live. If they are all nice and smooth like the western US, you're good to go with 18s. If you live in massachusetts like me where the potholes are deep enough to drown in when it rains, go with 17s cos they'll be less likely to bend. As for the quality, yeah, 300 or up will give you a pretty nice wheel. If you are on a budget, id suggest looking at mille miglias or enkeis. Great quality for the money. Ive got enkei CDR-9 17s on my 5th gen and they look badass.
hell yeah 18 would make your ride slower if u get heavy rims.
i have heavy rims, but i didn't plan on much speeding w/ my stock engine.
i'd say go get 18 w/ a decent weight to prevent bending and save up for turbo if you need to go hehehehe
