Default drop for 6gen

how crucial is a drop on a 6th gen accord if i get 18's?...and 225/40's??? will it completely ride high? because if i MUST have a drop i will do it right and i know that will be expensive...and i dont have unlimited cash flow...thx.

drop + add kit, then buy rims

225/40s with 18s are pretty big but I think they can fit because the Accord has HUGE wheel wells. I'm not sure about 225, but I know 215 can fit for sure.

drop is not that expensive as compare to rims, especially 18". some good lowering springs cost around 200 and it's fairly cheap. take a note, you will save urself some money if you install rims/springs at the same time, cuz that way you only need to do the alignment once. so think about it.

Drop 1.5"-2.0" (Less for 2002)
Then rims,
then kit.

If you variate from that order your car will look funny.

like jason1234 said, drop, than rims, than kit.... F that, u better have an exhuast or else that might look weird, kit, drop, and wheels, and a little peni$ (thats what i call stock exhuast tips) thing in the back? LOL, j/k ... anyway, seriuosly, u can get springs MAD cheap, my friends got their H&R's (both kinds) for like $130-150, sportlines for like $180, than u got to get it installed, professionally (expensive like $100-150) around my area IN maryland, or do it yourself or thru a friend (free-$50, i would pay more than $50 to a friends friend, and a friend, i'd buy him a $7 lunch LOL)... and, if u want to get some nice riding springs, like the eibach prokits, than ur lookin around $200-220. anyway, u need to Lower a car to get wheels, just looks weird if u dont... and yes, u can fit the 225/40 on your accord if their 6th generation

Yes, get the drop, the rims, and then the kit. If you don't, it will look funny like my car right now (but the rims are coming by this week).

225/40R18's should have no problem on a 6th gen. If you rub any, it takes a file and a short couple mins in the back near the rear bumper. That's the only place I hear that might rub consistently.

If you are going really low, then you might want the rims first so when you lower, you can choose the springs that are right for you. My friend dropped his prelude and after he bought rims, finding out that the rims touch the fender when it's not on a lift. Usually this isn't the problem on an Accord unless you're thinking about a drop more than 3"...and even then just this weekend i saw another member that has 19's with a 3.5" drop. (and it looked goooood)...

Thanks for the compliment! I'll have pictures up soon after I get them. I really don't like the bodykit+stock rims thing though. I think it looks ricey and tacky and wished I got rims earlier. good thing i had the ex alloys. the lx blackies/hubcaps would have been terrible with this look.

as for funds, my dad's paying for the rims as a graduation present/deal. (if i got into berkeley i choose any benz under $70k...i got in, but i decided not to go, so he agreed to buy me rims instead.)

brand new 18" Tenzo Passion-5 with Namkang tires (****.tires) hehe. $1040 total. amazingly, my dad hooked it up (knows a friend that works there)
