drums = cheaper. it's basically that simple.

abs is important to safety and has become universal on most every new car, even the low end ones. honda isn't gonna leave it out when everyone else has it now.
yeah, that makes sense

yeah, someone who posts on HondaSociety, and on here did that:

It's purely cosmetic, since you will probably won't notice any kind of braking difference. The only reason why the EX has rear discs is because of ABS.
yea its mainly for looks. having 18inch rims wit drum brake is ugly. my friend got a 01 v6 Ex and he got stock brakes. sometimes he drive his bro 95 accord LX but his bro got brembo brakes in the front and stock drum in the bak. and he said his bro car brakes are way better than his.

front brakes do most of the braking anyway.

rear swap is mostly for looks...it does have noticible braking difference, but not all that much.

swap brembo rears in place of drums...you'll definitely notice that.

yeah, someone said that the LX 4cyl coupe (rear drum) was the shortest stopping one :dunno: I guess putting a rear disc won't hurt...

cause it's lighter than the EX 4cyl coupe.

Swapping to rear discs won't do anything without changing the proportioning valve. Most all disc systems are 60/40, but disc/drums are 65/35 or 70/30. More braking percentage in the rear.
