drives to work/school with a loud exhaust is a no-no. going into your office/class with a headache to start off the day is bad. if you wanted loud why'd you get apexi ws? should have gotten n1's or greddy evo's.

I actually got the exhaust as a gift, family member knew someone who had an accord and they recommnended it, I actually like the exhaust alot, who knows I may keep it, it looks real nice and has a decent sound to it.

ashzero- the reason why yours isnt too loud is cause you have a turbo. Most cars that i see/hear with turbo arent loud. It also depends on what you have done (exhaust wise)

If you keep your resonator (one after cat) its not going to be loud. I started out with a HKS cat-back and it wasnt any louder than stock. it was deeper though. I ditched the muffler the 1st month i had the exhaust and that gave it some rage. Got rid of the 1st resonator and it sounded nice. Not loud but nice and deep and sounded like air when boosting. still not loud enough for me.
Got the turbo upgraded, which added a 2.5in downpipe and testpipe (took out cat) my sh!t is loud as hell now. Its a little buzzy when slowing down but i think thats cause my muffler (Tsudo) but it sounds great at highway speeds and when boosting it sounds like a whole other car

To keep it quiet keep the cat although a highflow wont make it that much louder. Keep the resonator and i might suggest Magnaflow mufflers. For some reason i have never thought there mufflers were loud. OBX mufflers are also a good.

BTW- i have never heard a V6 Accord that was loud. I see this one all the time and hes got 2.5in straight pipe from cat-back with cheap mufflers and its not too loud. I thought it sounded great but not horrible loud

yea, turbo did quiet it down some...but i do have resonator in the midpipe...so it wasn't driving me nuts or anything even before the turbo...

but really, if you keep the stock piping or goto 2" or 2.5", it really won't be that loud...just a nice aggressive sounding exhaust at WOT...i bet your intake will be louder than the exhaust most of the times...

IMO- i wouldnt want it interior vibrating loud. I would just like it to go vroom when i hit it at high rpms, kinda like a intake and thats how the mufflers should be, not just turning on the car and making a vroom on ****ing idle, i think its kinda ricey just blowing pipe while in park or even just going from stop light to stop light.
Apex'i is great id keep em.

It does sound aggressive but like everyone has said it will get irratating over time. At night I'll put the silencers in to keep the noise level down and keep the peace around my neighborhood. You have a nice exhaust setup I would consider keeping it if I where you. I've heard nothing but good things about the apexi worldsport exhausts. My setup doesn't look good cause I don't have a sleak body kit. The only interior noise I get is from lose change or lose metal objects in car. Still can't figure out what I wanna do for tail lights either :dunno: Sorry this is the only pic I have!

When an exhaust system is loud, it does not sound aggresive. It's even more embarrassing when the exhaust is loud and the car "sounds" faster than it is.

Yeah, I was up next to an SE-R yesterday and the dude had an all out straight pipe with a huge tip. It sounded really buzzy and loud, he tried to get me to race him cause he was showing off but I don't care really, I am not the type to be a show off, it gets annoying after awhile cause all the street racers like to be hard when they see me driving, ah well, guess I'll take it as a compliment hehe.

yea, my car sounds really freaking fast!!!

but...it's not all that fast...

but then again, there's clear distinction between loud and aggressive...
for example, mine's not loud, just aggressive...12 sec. turbo + 3" thermals are just straight up loud...
so, when the car sounds loud and fast, it's okay, but when it's aggressive sounding and not too fast, it's rice?
