I'm stuck on if I can still use my '94 Ex wiring harness for my H23a1 swap.

The main problem is the fact my car came with VTEC and the H23a1 USDM motor don't come with VTEC....I understand theres a wire or two for my VTEC but what should i do with them for my H23a1 wiring?


O yeah can anyone list the OBD1 and OBD2 type motors and what years they came? many thanks

 

i believe that for accord 96 and under is OBD 1, 97+ is OBD II.

I don't think there should be a problem with your wiring though. Since you don't have to hook up the Vtec solenoids wiring and stuff. I'm taking a guess BTW< you plan on rebuild that thing + turbo?

 

wrong 96-97 is obd2.
im not sure about that harness to ecu problem i can ask a few pals of mine that run the local shop, but id think you'd run into problems.

 

just cut the VTEC wires and don't use them.

 

take out the vtec solenoids and wires.
