something alot of you might find interesting:
i know a guy that works at a tire/alignment/tranny shop here and i know he's good with cars and shit. but we were talking the other day and what i didnt know is that he used to work for ground control when they were just starting out
yes, ground control
he said they used to weld their own coilovers together
he used to do suspension for some race car drivers that would win races and then go praise to him how nice their car was when he was sitting in the crowd and people would be all like "who the ****s this guy?" and stuff. thought that was funny
anyway, its nice to have hookups

I just had a major suspension upgrade last couple months therefore I should know lil of something. I used to have the GC coilover kit + tokico Illuminas shocks. Somehow, when I reset the shock's damping, they seem to be defect and stuff. So I return the shocks and swaped the GC Coilover with Nopi and get this Tokico RAK501 complete coilover kit. They seem to handle quite well. I also purchased the ST Rear Swaybar, Neuspeed front Upper Strut bar, Specialty Product Company Front camber kit (0-3") Ball joint adjustable (better than Ingalls)+ the DIY rear bolt/washer camber. They costed me quit a lot but the ride handle more than expected. I slamed my car couple times (2.25" drop) but so far, didn't seem to have any problem yet.
BTW, about welding coilover sleeves on shocks is pretty much these real true coilover kit are about. They're permanently welded on the shock's body assembly.
oh yea, one notice, you should have specified whether you car have ABS or not so that they'll get the right model. With ABS, they have the bolt position for ABS line and Brake line on the struts' assembly.
i think it does. does it?
because the other day i was hauling ass and i had the brakes pressed as far as they could go because i needed to slow down pretty fast and it was slowing down but they didn't lock up
but after i was stopped and i took off they were stuck for a second like i was staging and then took off for a race, they skidded and stuff
do i have ABS
what a pathetic question

Just messing, still a great deal.
I just bought some Illuminas for my 00 AV6 CPE, which cost me $405 shipped. It includes the full warranty directly through Tokico with valiad invoice. Fast shipping. I don't trust JDMWERKS selling on E-bay. I decided to pay the $15 dollars more for piece of mind. I don't know how long JDMwerks is going to be around and try to e-mail him asking for a real Phone #; he won't do it.
If you want some Illuminas Contact Matt at Banks Performance down in FL. Their number is (813) 787-9527
Ask Matt for a quote on your application and say Brian Lam, me, referred you. You should get the same price shipping anywherei n the lower USA.
good luck.

You could also do Coximports.com Their Illuminas are $435 shipped. In addition you get the piece of mind by knowing that they would help if there were problems, as well as provide the bonified warranty from Tokkico.

That's why you should have said to begin with that you are looking for the full coilover application that Tokico makes (which happens to use the illumina shocks). That's why everyone here is talking about how much the shocks are, where to buy them, etc. Tokico sells the Illumina shocks by themselves, I think that's what everyone is thinking your asking.
