installing a new cd player in 6th gen
mainly applies to non-EX drivers.....
when you install a new cd player, are you able to keep the little flap-down compartment thingy thats underneath the stock radio? i really like that thing for holding my miscellaneous small items...

radios can be mounted in many ways...two of which are using the metal sleeve bracket that comes with the new radio, or using existing mounting hardware in the car. i believe the 6th accords have a metal bracket that screws onto both the radio and the pocket...so if you reuse the metal bracket, then you can keep the pocket. it is actually mounted more securely this way.

unfortunately the mounting kit I got replaced the little flip down lid compartment. I hated it at first but it has cd storage slots so ever since I started stacking cd's in it I have gotten used to it.
just put my cd player in today.....was able to make it work with the flip down lid compartment....
the pics I have of my car are old and before most of my mods...I'm gonna take some with my digi as soon as the weather is nice enough (and my car is clean enough) to snap some good ones....
