Hi everyone. I have a few questions that I hope yal can help me out on. First I own a 1993 Honda Accord 4 dr sedan LX. It's that greenish blueish color that you mainly see. I really want to start fixing it up but don't have much money to do so. I would like to spend most of the money on the parts and not the installation, but I don't know much about cars. But I want to learn. Of course I don't want to screw up the car in anyway so what needs to be done in a shop needs to be done there.
But anyway, the first thing I've done was to put in clear corners and clear bumper lights. That went smoothly and I didn't mess anything up. Next, I'm getting a nice head unit for my car. What I don't know. Probably an Alpine or Kenwood at Tweeter. Any suggestions. The next thing I'm doing is going to either get my car painted or get the windows tinted. The paint I'm not sure about. I was going to get it done at Maaco but I've been told not to. So what does a paint job usually run ya? I don't even know what color to get it. I want something that will turn heads. Something out of the ordinary. Any suggestions? Anyways...any suggestions as to how I can hook up my car would be appreciated!! Thanks so much!

 

i'm a fan of alpine HU,that's what i suggest.

a proper color change will cost about the you paid for the car. please also see the thread in the forum floating around about a paint job.

also, some flashy color on a 10yr old accord will turn peoples heads, but in disgust unless unless you have money and do the car up right.

Yeah that is probably true...well is there something that I could do about the little scratches all over my car (especially around key holes) and the faded pinstripes?

you could have them spray the car the same color which is much cheaper or spray just the bad areas.

i would first try having a professional detail your car. with a buffing wheel and professional wax they can probably make it look 1000X better.

keep in mind it's a 10yr old car, nobody expects it to be perfect either.

 

Hmmm....I think I could do that. I think what I need to do is just go talk to the place about it.
