Default Need to know what type of ECU to get

good morning guys (and gals if there are any). i need to know what model the ECU is for a 1996 Prelude VTEC. situation: i have a red top SiR motor i am dropping in my 1997 accord this week and i either need to (1) send out the JDM injectors for cleaning and take my chances with the CARB referee or (2) downgrade to the USDM 1996 Prelude DOHC VTEC ECU and injectors. Can you all knowing folks provide me with some info on what model ECU i need to get, or give me some tips on how to get this sucker to pass? Thanks in advance!

(this may be a duplicate for you guys from honda-tech.com, but i need all the help i can get!)

all H22s have a P13 ecu.

good luck finding the 96 lude VTEC ECU. a really good shop should be able to get a 97+ one to work though.

i assume you can't convert to OBDI huh.

its a pain int eh ass to find a 96 p13
it is the onyl year of the obd2 p13, which is basically an obd1 ecu that is retrofitted to have obd2 plugs and compliance though it is not nearly as strict as teh 97+ obd2. you can use a usdm or jdm 96 p13, and jsut so you know....all 92-96 h22a injectors are 345cc...
