Default Alternators?

I need a new alternator for my 5th gen,
I have narrowed it down to 2 choices.

1. Remanufactured oem 80 amp alternator for $150 w/ 3 yrs warrenty.

or

2. New 165 amp alternator for $200 w/ 2 yrs warrenty.

what would you guys suggest?

165 amp for sure
you could run a pretty huge stereo with absolutely no battery depletion

The speed of the power windows is dependant on the power of the alternator? I swear I learn something new every day!!

yeah, this is a no-brainer.

165 ESPECIALLY if you have a powerful sound system. Amps put so much strain on your alternator. In fact, if you have a system I bet that's why you are in need of a new one.

165 :usa: i dont need to say no more these guys already said the reasons why i would do it
