Default 2003 accord ex leather auto pricing ?

i just came back from scottrobinson honda and they gave me a

lecture about car prices, even insulted me " if you cant buy a

bottle of champagne , buy a can of beer" and with the joke " call

the cops, hes trying to steal an accord " . can anyone with

experience in buying cars at good prices advise me with the 2003

accord ex leather auto pricing.

http://www.edmunds.com/

enter your info and you can find out whatever you want about a car, invoice price, how much they go for around where you live (the true market value - TMV)...etc, these are the prices without tax....just add up the tax to the TMV for an out the door price, dont let them screw you.

u could probably do better than that. what's your tax like? maybe around 23K-23.5K would be somethin i'd work with. i got a price that was $500 above invoice OTD.

I got my 2003 accord coupe v6 EX with the full aero kit (side sills, front/rear underbody spoiler) installed for 24,800 in massachusetts.

what you need to do is find out the MSRP, the dealer invoice, and the hold-back. The hold back is an amount of money that honda pays back to the dealer when they sell the car. basically it means that the "dealer invoice" is B.S. because basically even if they sell you the car for the "price they paid for it" they are still really making (I think) 777 from you.

goto this site and pick out your exact model:

http://www.car-prices-costs.com/2003-Honda-Accord.html

they goto the dealer and let him know that YOU know about the hold-back. if all they make off you is the holdback, that's a good deal. I was able to cut into the holdback a little because they misquoted something to me so I just lucked out, ya know?

also, read the tips on the right of that page. negotiating UP from the real base cost works well because you're making them say how much they want to make off you.

You should be able to get it for under $22,000 before taxes, license, reg, etc.

Take a look at Edmunds.com TMV and carsdirect.com
They show what is a reasonable price.

at first he gave me an OTD quote of 26000 and then i showed

him the carsdirect print out, he straight away agreed with

the msrp price of 21927, so the OTD now became 24900. then i

told him its still too high for me, he lowered it to 24200, i told him

i still need a better price, and walked off.

24200 was what was quoted yesterday by him. today he

just left me a voice mail to call him back, i think ill go with 23000

cash and see what happens. WarptEra thanks a

lot for the info.
