The tint is strange though, from the inside its not to dark, but I LOVE it, and outside you cant see nothing inside the car, even at night when I turn my inside lights on you just see a LITTLE glow from where the light is but nothing else...
I have had tint sense March and so far no ticket, I drive with my windows down a lot at night because its cool at night so why waste gas on the AC... During the day its not biggie really...
But I live in FL, so hey, eithe im lucky or Orlando cops are nice and I hope it stays this way...
Anyway how much would my tickey be about if I get pulled over for tint?
Hey BigB2k3, nice car!!! You may want to move that amp off the sub box. I had 2 different Kenwood amps from customers litterally get the traces knocked off the circuit boards from doing that.

First off....black cars rule.
However, any black car becomes twice as cool with a nice tint job. I have 20% in the back and 35% on the two front windows, and it looks pretty solid. At night it's a little hard to see out the rear section but the front windows are fine.

i think the only type of tinting that looks good is black.. some cars have purple tinting, like the previous owner put on my car... ugly as shit. i hate it. mirror tinting is ugly, too.
anyways, mirror tinging can severly reduce the effectiveness of a radar detector, if you ever plan on using one. regular tinting can hinder a radar detector also, but not as much, and it should be fine if you don't go too dark.

i live in tn where 35% is legal. mine is 5% on the rear window & 20% on all 4 doors. had an accident a few months ago where an 18-wheeler side-swiped me.
the state trooper that came out do do the accident report bent down & looked thru the rear window, turned to me & shook his head side to side & kinda chuckled, but didn't write me up for them.
a friend that is a local cop told me that the only thing they worry about is not being able to see in the car. i was pulled over for speeding 2 weeks ago @ night. they put that spotlight on the rear window & could see thru. i also made it a point to roll ALL 4 windows down before the cop came up to the car so he could see in. he told me he would've wrote me up for the tint if i hadn't done that.
as some have mentioned, it does keep the car MUCH cooleer with the windows tinted.

PLEASE don't mention the tails. two different set, both were gifts & are being taken off & replaced with the factories once my spray-tint comes in from testors & i get 'em tinted. :fawk:

I only got pulled over once when I was driving up thru South Carolina. State Troopers there got stick up their @ss. Just pulled me over cuz of the tints, asked a bunch of questions, and "let me off with a warning" (yeah, right, got nuthin' on me)
If I could go back in time, I wouldn't do 5% again, even on the back window, it just hampers so much visibility that it's not really worth it for the extra lil kewl-factor look of superdark tint. I did a horrendous job on the rear tint anyway, so I think I'm gonna go with 35%, that's my 2 cents, show us pics on what you choose man!
