Default stick shift vs. auto

Accord vtec auto ex vs. accord nonvtec stick shift lx
both are 96. Which one do you guys prefer?

ex for numerous reasons:
painted side moldings
painted side skirts (not sure on this one - i think it differs by year)
sun roof
alloy wheels
4 wheel disc brakes
and some other good stuff I cant remember

Really depends what ur gonna use the car for. If you wanna race, do engine mods, possible engine swap, etc.. you want the manual tranny. If you don't place on doing any of that stuff get the ex auto. It will look nicer and have more options. Besides the auto has vtec and u said the manual didn't so thats sorta a plus.

The manual will hold up better and will respond better to mods. If it's going to be a racer, the less weight, the better. I'd go with the LX.

just get manual ex then. best of both. hehehe.. vtec and stick.

Not to mention added rear sways, VTEC, upgraded stereo, more hp all of which the LX lack. I also think those moldings, rims make the car look much better too. In stick form out of teh box teh Ex is a better handler.

Accords can be made faster and to handle better, but sports cars they'll never be even with a stick.

i've noticed that the vtec version has a much better topend than the LX. my car just keeps pulling while the LX(both 5-spd/auto) seems to run out of steam after 80 mph+.

I might have to choose between an auto EX or a stick LX myself, and im leaning towards the EX since im not gonna be racin anyways :fawk:
