2002 Accord MIL is Off error code
You got it right! The check engine light is on, but the code that
the scanner gives me is "MIL is Off". Runs ok to for a 4cyl. How does one reset the CEL on the newer models . I've tried the battery disconnect for 1/2 hr. and the lamp never went off?
Any thoughts ??

I've never heard of that fault. What's the actual fault code number?
On our '98 you pull out the #13 fuse in the right-side doorjamb fusebox. Maybe the same?? You have to reset your clock but not your radio theft code.
Or... try taking off one battery cable completely, and touching it to the other cable. That forces any capacitance power supplies to discharge. Just don't short the battery posts themselves.

Maybe theres wires crossed in the instrument cluster? So basically, the ECM isn't turning on the MIL? I guess it's a long shot, but what you're saying is that the ECM is insisting that it is NOT lighting up the MIL...
Disconnect the battery & put the cables together like I said. Maybe whatever is messed up will correct itself after it 'reboots'.
Otherwise, I don't know.
